M96C6T5 Back Squats 165kgs & Weighted Pull-ups +25kgs

ASSISTANCE Day

I was supposed to get Back Squats done on Tuesday because I chickened out of them on Monday. But this plan failed and life got in the way and I did Back Squats today. This could potentially backfire on me because I could go into my Deadlift workout with sore legs and that’s the last thing I want. However, I am going to do a couple of sets of Anderson Front Squats (that should originally have been trained today) the day before Deadlifts so hopefully that will keep me primed for DL but this is a gamble.

I am close to hitting my old max of 172,5 kgs on Back Squats but I am not rushing into this. I am going to keep building volume a little at a time and progress like a snail with the intensity so that I can cross over to new uncharted territory without any hiccups. I would like to work up to 185 kgs as a week-in-week-out Relative Max Benchmark.

Back Squats:
135 kgs x 3 reps
145 x 3
155 x 4
165 x 1 @ 95.7%
162,5 x 2 @ 94.2%
125 x 4 x 2 sets
105 x 8
V = 29 (+5)

Overhead Press using 6/2 Modified:
66,5 x 6
76,5 x 2
67,5 x 6
77,5 x 2
68,5 x 6
78,5 x 2

Weighted Pull-ups:
25 x (2 + 2) x 2 Cluster Sets
BW x 5 x 3

Total Back Volume = 240

Chained Dips:
8,5 x 7 x 5
V = 35 (+5)

Tricep Band Pressdowns:

#1 x 20 x 6
