DEADLIFT Day
Today was
Week 2 of Eric Troy’s “Not that kind of Density” Progression on Deadlifts and I
managed to add a rep to the first set so I’m happy. The goal is to keep
transferring reps from the last set to the first set (or the second) while
maintaining rest intervals and then later if I run into a wall I will begin
reducing rest between sets so that I am doing the same work as before but in a
shorter time frame. Once I max out on my ability of repping out 90% of my max Eric
will have me move on to a higher percentage. It’s all about volume right now.
Shifting gears, I want to say that my OHPs are coming along beautifully and if
I can hold on to 90 kgs for a double I will be happy. This is more than my
bodyweight at present. As long as my BP and OHP keep progressing I won’t really
choose between the two but it is going to be a tough choice if it comes down to
choosing one of the two for higher training aggression.
