PRESS + TRICEPS

I thought my shoulders would be shot to hell after last night’s Chained Dips but they held up just fine on Bench. I was wiped out after that all time PR though and the rest of the workout was a struggle. I will improve my pushing strength one baby step at a time.  

Bench Press Zero Leg Drive:
105 kgs x 1 rep paused + 3 reps Rest-Paused

Overhead Press:
91 x 2 @ 96.8%

KANISHK MITTAL FRONT SQUATS

Kanishk tried out some heavy Front Squats. Still needs to works a great deal on getting his usual depth with heavy weights. But it was very good that he got his fear of these weights out of the way. Now the only option left on the table is to nail them with perfect quality.

DIIPEN DEADLIFT Training

Diipen put in a spectacular workout tonight. He hit two PRs in total; one on Band Resisted Deadlifts with double looped bands and the other on regular Deadlifts with a new one rep max. Banded Deadlifts have been a staple at Eric Troy’s Ground Up Strength because of their immediate training effect – we really love our band resisted lifts. Diipen began this workout with a million complaints and aches but he soon realized: deadlifts do not care for his “feelings” and he put aside all these mental hindrances and grabbed the bull by its horns. Major props to Diipen for this achievement.
