DEADLIFT Day
I began the workout
feeling pretty ill and with some minor tweaks in my back. Well, these didn't go
away but they didn't hamper me either so I can't complain much. The Band
Resisted Deadlifts were brutal and I managed to progress by adding a couple of
reps. I am going to keep adding reps till I cannot progress via reps any ore.
The regular Deadlifts were difficult as hell because my back was exhausted from
the band work - if you haven't done heavy banded deadlifts you are really
missing out on some severe fatigue. So all said and done working up to 98.7% of
my max with 240 kgs 529 lbs was a real challenge. I attempted to break 250 kgs
off the floor and failed but I know what I need to clear 250 off the floor - I
am not talking about completing a rep. That will come later. Right now I need
the strength to break the load off the floor - even a couple of inches is good
and up to my knees would be golden. All in all this was a crazy great and
uncomfortable workout and I have to thank my buddy Diipen for staying till the
end and creating a good positive training environment.
