BENCH PRESS Training
Today's workout was a
bit of an experimental session because I am doing a brand new exercise: Banded
Pin Press Bench Press. I was way off with my estimations of how much weight I
would be able to handle. I expected to be able to sling 100 kgs for sets of 10
reps and I was off by about 9 reps haha!
There are a few things
to make note of:
I have been finishing my
BP workouts with some drop sets for many many months now. I am going to be
switching things up a bit. I am going to set the bar at 100 kgs and I will
superset BP and Flat DB Press for 2-3 sets. I will take 100 kgs for doubles or
triples and then I will do DB Presses for 15-25 reps. If this goes well, I will
replace DB Presses with Banded Push-ups on the Giant Sets.
The next time this
workout rolls around, I will add reps to the #1 BPPBP and then when I shift to
BP I will Rest-Pause the sets with 100 kgs before doing the Superset thingy I
detailed earlier.
